.
In an official ceremony held at the Presidential Palace in Angola, Mansour Shakib Mehr, the accredited Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, presented his credentials to João Gonçalves Lourenço, the President of Angola. During the meeting, President Lourenço strongly condemned Israel’s attacks and called for an immediate halt to these military actions, which have resulted in the deaths of thousands of innocent people and the destruction of infrastructure in Gaza and Lebanon. He also emphasized his support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state.
The Iranian Ambassador, while appreciating Angola's principled and humanitarian stance, stressed the need to expand bilateral relations in all areas and called for global action against Israel's apartheid and genocide, similar to the historic fight against apartheid in Africa.
