Meeting and discussion between the foreign ministers of Iran and South Africa

On Sunday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs hosted Mrs. Naldi Pandor, Minister of Foreign Relations and International Cooperation of South Africa and her accompanying delegation.
In the talks, the parties discussed and exchanged views on bilateral, regional and international issues of interest and emphasized the necessity of stopping the crimes and discriminatory policies of the Zionist regime against the oppressed Palestinian people and sending humanitarian aid to Gaza.
Amir Abdollahian , stating the joint agenda regarding the visits of the officials of the two countries in different areas, announced the official visit of the President of our country to South Africa at the official invitation of his counterpart, and the trip of various South African delegations to Tehran in the near future.Recalling the unique role of Nelson Mandela as a symbol of the fight against apartheid in the world, the Minister of Foreign Affairs condemned the racist policies, genocide and crimes of the apartheid, criminal and fake Zionist regime and called the current war in Palestine the war of the fake Zionist regime on behalf of America said against the Palestinian civilians, during which the Zionist regime mercilessly and in front of the eyes of the world attacked churches, mosques and residential areas under the false pretext of attacking Hamas and the Palestinian resistance and massacred children, women and Civilians clap.
In this meeting, the Foreign Minister of South Africa explained the various capacities and many opportunities for cooperation between the two countries in various political and economic fields, including agriculture, energy, and science and technology.
Naldi Pandor called the fields of partnership between the two countries stronger than before after the permanent membership of the Islamic Republic of Iran in BRICS, and emphasized the special attention of BRICS members to reforming the structure of the United Nations, and especially the Security Council. He called unilateral sanctions against countries one of the challenges of BRICS and evaluated the use of alternative currencies to the dollar by the members of this organization as important.
Pandor regretted that some countries in the region have left Palestine alone.
